HISTORY

I-N Information Systems, Ltd. was established in 1984 as an in-house database company through a joint venture between the Industrial Bank of Japan (currently the Mizuho Financial Group) and the Nikko Securities Group (currently Citigroup Japan Holdings Corp.).
In 1988, we launched our services to clients outside of the group, and ever since, we have strived to maintain detailed and highly-complete databases that are the foundation of the Japanese economic and financial world, providing a wide range of services centered on financial institutions and business corporations.
Recently, our clients have been utilizing a diversity of data for business and research activities, and we have been pouring our efforts into the development of a range of software, offering it in conjunction with our high-quality databases.
1984

I-N Information Systems, Ltd. was established (head office in Nogizaka, Minato-ku).
1985

The head offices moved to Shinagawa.
1986

The economic statistics database, "Industry Files" was completed, and an economic database service was launched.
1988

An economic database service aimed at clients was launched.

The bond database, "Bond Issuance Information" was developed and put into service.
1989

The online economic database service was launched.
1991

The online economic database service for clients was launched.
1992

The economic database, "Corporation Statistics Files" was launched.

The company began covering bond data sources.
1993

Service for the economic statistics databases, "General File" "Price Index Files" and "Household Finance Survey Files" was introduced.
1994

The head office moved from Shinagawa to Kanda-Nishikicho.

A bond database service for clients was launched.
1995

An economic database service for overseas clients was introduced.

A search function for users was added to the bond database transmission service.

A new economic statistics database service/CD-ROM series was introduced to the market. The company began providing industry statistical charts on CD-ROM for the initial stage.
1996

The economic statistics database, "Industry Files" was expanded to include non-manufacturing businesses.
1997

An industry statistics CD-ROM was released.
1998

An online service for searching economic statistics databases, "INDB-II," was released.

A bond database and new stocks database was released, and the online search system, "Funding Eye," was released as a corporate finance database (i.e., a business database).
1999

The company began providing economic statistics databases to FactSet.
2000

A system for automatically creating graphs, "e-Graph," was developed, and service was provided to Nikko EZ Trade.
2001

I-N Information Systems began providing the business database to Quick Corporation, and the economic statistics databases to Nikkei Bonds & Financial Weekly and Toyo Keizai Incorporated.
2002

The English version of the Funding Eye was released.
2003

Internet access to INDB-II was launched.
2004

"Funding View" for investment banking services was released.

The economic statistics database application, INDB Accel (patent-pending) and the equivalent intranet version were released.
2005

"Treasury Stock View" which covers information about one's own stock, was released.
2006

"Economic Stastics Finder" was released.

The company began providing M&A information.
